Raincloud and raindrops

Cloud made from glittery polymer clay (the glitter wouldn't pick up on the camera, no matter how hard I tried) and raindrops made with a mix of transparent and turquoise polymer so have a slightly transluscent effect which I am rather fond of.

If you full-view you can just see the glitter in the cloud!
Neat necklace, and a great idea!

Thankyou GoblinMorningTea... I couldn't see the glitter even at the massive original picture resolution, but that may just be my monitor, which is, frankly, ready to retire...

Thanks for your comment!

Aaah, thankyou! It feels nice to wear, and it catches people's eye as well, quite a few people have asked me about it on the two occasions that I have worn it, and that's always a nice thing :boing:

Making the necklaces with the suspended bits are relatively easy - actually setting the wires with the raindrops into the cloud is the fiddly bit - I use little metal 'crimping beads' (metal beads that you squash with a pair of pliers) on the ends of the thread and then I glue these into little holes I have made - but actually getting a sufficient amount of glue/cement into the hole is a bit of a tricky job. It holds very tight when it is done though :)

Well, everything you just said proves how hard it would be for me to do this kind of art with my hands :)
